Nancy, in brief
Nancy brings her own weather, and it is set fair. At 170 cm she is curvy and sun-warmed, with golden blonde hair worn long and bright blue eyes that seem permanently lit by a holiday. Her style is golden-hour glamour: silk the colour of honey, gold at the throat, a light tan that lasts well into autumn. People smile at her in lifts, and she smiles back.
Sunny, energetic and easygoing, she can turn a Wednesday in town into something close to the opening night of a long holiday. Early thirties; she has a cheerful, open way with English and a laugh that lands easily. Swimming is her daily pleasure, outdoors in every month of the year, whatever the thermometer says; she has never met a cold lido she did not want to try. Road trips are her preferred way to travel, a playlist and no fixed plan, and sushi is her great weakness. She will sit at a counter for two hours and let the chef decide everything.
On North Audley Street she heads for Roka, where the robata grill sits at the heart of the room and the counter seats face the cooks at work. She loves the theatre of it, the smoke and the precision, and she orders generously, coaxing you towards something new. After dinner, if the night is mild, she will suggest a stroll towards Park Lane and the dark trees of Hyde Park, talking all the way.
Covent Garden is home. Weeknights are open; weekends are usually spoken for by Wednesday, so an early word is the kind thing. She is fond of Park Lane and its hotels, and Cressida can hold an evening for her through booking.

Nancy, after dark
Nancy's best evenings begin with a swim, hers, earlier in the day, which is why she arrives glowing. She meets you at seven with a smile that brightens the lobby and suggests a counter dinner where you can both watch the cooks. She eats with gusto and describes her favourite drive, the Atlantic Highway through Devon with the windows down, and the coldest lido she ever braved in January. She is easy company, full of laughter, never demanding. Afterwards, perhaps a walk by the park, perhaps a nightcap in your hotel bar, whatever the mood prefers. Nobody has ever seen her check the time. She has the rare knack of making ordinary things feel like adventures, and the hours pass far too quickly.
Nancy answers
The Serpentine, early, while the mist is still on the water and the swans have opinions about who belongs there.
Anything along the north Cornish coast with the windows down. Every bend has a view, and every village has a bakery worth stopping for.
Black cod first, then whatever the chef is proudest of that night. Asking him is half the fun, and he is usually right.
