The map: four W1 pages within a short walk of Berkeley Square
The Society's map is small by choice. Four pages cover the streets a guest can cross on foot from Berkeley Square within a quarter of an hour, each with the hotels people actually stay in, the stations nearest to them and the companions who live closest.
Every visit is outcall. Your companion travels to you, whether to a hotel room or a private door, and the Society keeps no premises for anyone to call at.

From the garden outwards
Berkeley Square, W1J, lends the Society its name and keeps the latest suppers. Mayfair widens the view into W1K, from Claridge's to the mews behind Mount Street. Park Lane is the page for galas and for suites above Hyde Park, while Piccadilly follows the old road from The Ritz towards the Circus. Walked in that order, the four come to little more than a mile.
Addresses the map leaves out
Knightsbridge, Belgravia, St James's, Marylebone and the City have no page here, and every one of them is visited on the same footing. Within Zones 1 and 2 her car is the Society's concern. Past that line the cost of a taxi out and back is added, and Cressida states it before anything is agreed; a hotel by Heathrow or Gatwick is never booked for less than three hours, the drive included. The rates page carries every figure.
Distance and arrival
Either will do. The four overlap at their edges, and a hotel on Half Moon Street belongs as much to Piccadilly as to Mayfair. What Cressida needs is the name of the hotel, not the page on which you found it.
Yes. Bankside, the South Bank and Canary Wharf all lie within the first two zones, so the journey adds nothing to the figure. Write a little earlier than you would for W1, since the drive from Mayfair is longer.
