Michelle, in brief
By the end of the first drink she has learned the waiter's name, your favourite harbour and the reason you are in London, and you will not remember being asked. Michelle is 173 cm and curvy, and her dark brown hair, straight as a ruler, reaches well past her shoulders; the brown eyes crinkle when she laughs, which is often. She favours soft, rose-toned colours: a blush silk blouse, a wide trouser, a single pearl on a fine chain.
Elegant and nurturing, she has a born hostess's instincts, and she is gloriously chatty, the sort of companion who can turn a stiff business dinner into an evening the whole table enjoys. Late twenties; English, with quick humour. Sailing is the outdoor passion, weekends on the south coast whenever the wind allows. Museums are the rainy-day refuge. Mixology she treats as a serious hobby, practising a recipe at home until it is exactly right.
Of all the small rooms in Mayfair she loves the Fumoir at Claridge's best, an Art Deco jewel box of dark velvet and old glass, set apart from the grand lobby. It holds only a handful of guests, and she prizes that intimacy above any view in London. The bartenders there know her order by heart, always something classic; she tastes yours with permission, and before long the talk has turned to boats, to museums and to whatever you happen to care about most.
Michelle lives in Chelsea and is free most evenings, quick to confirm. Mayfair is a short ride from her door; one message through booking and Cressida arranges the rest.

Michelle, after dark
An evening with Michelle feels like being welcomed into a friend's house, even inside a grand hotel. She meets you early, around seven, with a drink already chosen for you, and within minutes the talk is flowing. Supper follows in a lively room with good service, where she makes sure your glass is never empty and your stories are always appreciated. She describes sailing to the Isle of Wight in a squall, a tiny museum in Holborn she adores, and the correct way to stir a Hanky Panky. Even the waiters seem to relax when she is at the table. Afterwards, a nightcap in a dim bar. She has the gift of making everyone feel looked after, and no silence at her table ever turns awkward.
Michelle answers
A Hanky Panky. Gin, sweet vermouth and a whisper of Fernet. It was invented at the Savoy, so it feels properly London.
The Sutton Hoo helmet at the British Museum. I visit it the way you would visit an old friend.
The Solent, out of Lymington. It is crowded, tidal and never once boring, which is more than most harbours can claim.
